PUSH-THROUGH STUDS (Back To Top)

Mark
stud pattern on track. |
2. |
Cut
stud holes with a 1/4" hollow core drill bit
(#DRIL-1/4") or 7mm bit (DRIL-7mm). Make sure bit is
sharp, this will insure a clean hole. |
3. |
Push
stud into the hole from inside the track. Insert domed
support plate. Hand tighten lock nut on the exposed stud. |
4. |
Use a socket
wrench to tighten the lock nut. Use a 5/32" hex
wrench on the stud head. Tighten until domed support
plate bottoms on the stud shoulder. If you tighten past
this point you will strip the nut threads. (Back To Top) |

T-NUT STUDS (Back To Top)

1. |
Mark stud
pattern on track. |
2. |
Cut stud
holes with a 1/4" hollow core drill bit
(#DRIL-1/4") or 7mm bit (DRIL-7mm). Make sure bit is
sharp, this will insure a clean hole. |
3. |
Push a T-nut
tool (Woody's part #AST-4050-1/4" or AST-4060-7mm)
through the hole from the outside of the track. |
4. |
Screw a T-nut
onto the T-nut tool, barrel end toward the track. Pull
the T-nut through the hole until it is flush with the
track. |
5. |
Remove the
T-nut tool. Put a drop of 262, 271 or 290 Loctite
Threadlocker on the T-nut threads and stud threads. |
6. |
Use our
optional Track Saver tool (Woody's part number
ATT-4260-3/4" or ATT-4270-1") in your 3/8"
drive ratchet to hold the T-nut. Slide support plate onto
the stud, and screw the stud into the T-nut. |

Torque stud
to 100 to 120 inch-lbs and let dry for 24 hours at 70
degrees. (Back To Top) |

SNAP-OFF STUDS (Back To Top)

Mark stud
pattern on track. |
2. |
Cut stud
holes with a 1/4" hollow core drill bit
(#DRIL-1/4") or 7mm bit (DRIL-7mm). Make sure bit is
sharp, this will insure a clean hole. |

Insert domed
washers onto the stud. Push the threaded end of the stud
into the track from the outside. |
4. |
Hand tighten
T-nut onto the stud, barrel end toward the track. Using a
3/8" socket and Woody's Track Saver tool (Woody's
part #ATT-4260-3/4" or ATT-4270-1") torque to 100 to 120 inch-lbs or until T-nut head is flush with
track surface. |
5. |
Use side
cutters or pliers to snap off extra portion of stud
thread. In rare cases, remove nub remaining on threaded
end of stud. |
6. |
Apply Loctite
Threadlocker #290. (Back To Top) |
