Important Studding Issues for All Trail Models of
Ski-doo's REV Snowmobiles
Special tunnel protection and stud patterns are required for REV’s that
are going to be studded. Ski-doo
has developed two different tunnel protection kits for the REV. The track
lug height of the sled will determine the proper kit to use.
For REV’s with the 1” lug track

Ski-doo
recommends using the tunnel protection kit part number 861-783-500.

Woody’s
recommends the following studding procedures:

Stud
only down the center of the track.

Use
one of the following patterns from Woody’s Universal Template
(Part Number COMB-TEMP)
- 96
Studs Single
- 96
Studs Double
- 144
Studs Center Single
- 144
Studs Center Double & Single
- ·
ONLY
USE 1.075” length Woody’s Studs
For
REV’s with the 1.25” lug track
·
Do
not stud your sled until Woody’s has completed testing and provides a
specific
recommendation.
According to Ski-doo, the tunnel protection kits were scheduled for release in late
October or early November of 2002. Before studding, the proper tunnel protection kit needs to be
installed, otherwise tunnel damage will occur.
